Welcome to BCC Sydney

Pastor Letter for October 2017

Dear Members and Friends in the family of the Lord Jesus,

Welcome to October 2017, praise the Lord for His grace and mercies upholding our faith and love for one another. The climate in Sydney is just right apart from one or two hot days and dry weather. During this school break family and friends can support and pray for one another and among families we can bless God by our annual Church family camp at Douglas Park and more than 150 people attended both adults and children. Saya mung Tawng and Sayama Nyang gave it all for this camp and many are blessed by their words of blessings and testimonies of life changing experiences. We are very encouraged by families from Wagga, Canberra and Wollongong joined us and had a very blessed time. As Joshua said in “Joshua 24:15New International Version (NIV)

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Life is full of making different choices including whom to worship in this very last days, people are busy, worrying, following other gods such as material, flesh and pleasures and worldly living. We are to focus on the holiness, the greatness, the love and mercies and salvation of God as a whole family. Ko Thar Cho and family and Ko Ronald Tun and family were very encouraged by you all at the passing of beloved mother Aunty Jean. We thank God for Saya Wynn Htin and team came back from the Holy Land tour with joy and good health, hallelujah. This month October we will keep on praying for our church youth group and encourage them to reach out to the lost souls, special youth Sunday will be held on 29/10/17 and our church ladies group for the first time they will have short bible stories play competition and we look forward to see how they are going to do it. Let us choose to worship the Lord instead of wondering, worrying like many. Our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ is returning soon and many are living like in Noah’s days marrying and partying doing business as usual, however let us all keep on reminding one another to worship, to evangelise, to love god and love one another , to learn more of God’s will for ourselves and for the whole world as the scriptures teaching, to serve others like Jesus day by day because Jesus reminded us Luke 18:8b, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

In Christ, Shane khin (Pastor Burmese Christian Church Sydney)
